A slightly comedic track I had initially scrapped, but which I later came to like. It is about daring to do things which holds no promise of professional success - the things I do should not be a means to and end, but be an end in itself, otherwise my place in the world is not of expressing my existence, but trying to earn my right to it through money or fame.
I am not in any way insane, you don't know what you're talking about.
lyrics
I’ve been spending some time to try to come up with a good rhyme, make it sound okay so that the others look my way
But whenever I was done with a sentence or with two, there was nothing with the words that really quite sounded true
I don’t wanna sing about love, don’t wanna sing about the money, sing about work or about fame
I don’t really want to pretend that what I’m singing is important, although it’s been written without aim
So, I said “ah, what, the, heck, I’ll write something that’s fair,
Yeah, I'll, write, something, that’s true, and, show, the world I dare
//scatter//
See, there’s a lyric that really has a meaning, it doesn’t say anything that really means nothing
I can promise you this, but it doesn’t even matter,
cuz I’m only having fun and why the heck shouldn’t you?
I’m not gonna follow streams that sell the air, I am gonna fight them, as hard as I can bear
So, I said “ah, what, the, heck, I’ll write something that’s fair, Yeah, I'll, write, something that’s true, and show the world I dare
//scatter//
//strange intermission//
