about

Keep On Going is a song about trying to find a way, in life, or in work, or in love. The main message is that the old roads are getting worn, blocked or destroyed and are getting difficult to use in this time, and that creating your own path is important. It will be difficult, and you'll never know when you're "there," but it's either freedom to roam, or to be trapped on the road that once made travelling easier but which now seems to try to stop you.

Instrument used:
- A Rubberband
- My Mandolin
- Morning Sun Drums (Rubberbands)
- Virtual Instruments

lyrics

Oh, just when things went bad and hardship held my hand
I realized where I went wrong and why did crashland
I hadn’t picked a way to go or how I would get there
And when I stopped to think it through, I’d forgotten of where
//keep on going
- But where?
-How will I get there?
- And when?
And so I started planning more, to see where I should go
But soon enough the planning showed that all the trips were slow
The roads were crooked, bridges burnt, the hills were overgrown
how the heck was I supposed to reach that great unknown
//keep on going
- But where?
-How will I get there?
- And when?
I went to town to see Ms Brown, and rest my weary head
I said “if this is all that life can give, then I’ll be dead”
She looked at me with weary eyes, and said to me “Rusty,
The roads are old and leads nowhere were you will be happy”
She told me that the road is for the one whose path is made
For the ones who doesn’t get to see the world in any way
If I really want to get somewhere, I’ll create the road myself
“go out there and climb the hills and try find yourself”
//keep on going
And so I went, no compass lent, to try and make my way
and everyone who saw me always thought I’d go astray
I roamed the fields, I climbed the hills, and soon I ran away
roads that I’d been walking they were cracking like a tray
