This song is, in it's essence, a thank you song to everyone of you who watches me, and who make me believe in myself a little more with every video; You rock!
It's awfully late here, but here's a quick rundown: It's, almost as per usual, a somewhat symbolical song, where most elements in it represents something:
The contraption is "Rusty" and means that the internet and this channel helps me get over the desert.
The desert is the future, and the emptiness which a life without being able to create art, stories or music would be to me.
The tap dancing means that I can't control this like a machine which sole purpose is to move forward, but rather like a musical instrument which I should let myself free upon.
lyrics
I am travelling the desert like an open sea, I’ve got my boat, my pack, my head, my friends, my water with me
And I don’t know how long we’re sailing or what things I will see, I mean except for sand and mountains and that really wierd tree
I’m travelling the desert like an open sea, I’ve got my boat, my pack, my head, my friends, my water with me
And I am not sure where we’re sailing and then where I will go, But I know that I can face whatever the desert will show.
//Tap tap tap
So I came upon a desert and I wanted to go, but all the other ones around me started yelling no, It was too hot, too cold, to dry too long to ever walk through, and a couple black eyes later, I knew it was true
So I started losing hope that I would manage to cross, and all the lands I’d never reach felt like heartbreaking loss, but then I came upon strange thing hidden in a small cave, it was a rusty strange contraption with a sail for the brave
//talk
// Step, hop step, step, hop etc ^^
I am travelling the desert like an open sea, I’ve got my boat, my pack, my head, my friends, my water with me
And I am not sure where I’m sailing or what things I will see, I mean except for stones and mountains and that really weird tree
I’m travelling the desert like an open sea, I’ve got my boat, my pack, my head, my friends, my water with me
And I am not sure where I’m sailing and then where I will go, But I know that I can face what this desert will show.
